About the Club

Our athletic facilities include an 18-hole golf course with the number one rated hole in southwest Virginia, golf practice range, junior-Olympic, heated swimming pool, plus five outdoor tennis courts. Dining facilities include both formal and informal dining rooms, a spacious outdoor patio, and a banquet/special events facility. The Club also has a poolside clubhouse and grille.  The Club has invested almost $2 million in its physical plant during the past five years, including major renovations to our tennis courts, pool area, and golf course and practice range.

Much of BCC's reputation is carried by our annual social events schedule. Children look forward to seasonal visits from Santa and the Easter Bunny and the the best camps in all of Blacksburg each summer. All members anticipate our culinary clinics, Lobsterfest, live music on the outside patio, and our wine dinners. Many activities are targeted for couples and young families. A calendar of social activities is published monthly.

The Club has the luxury of two equal and challenging nine hole layouts with a course rating of 71.5 and a slope of 129 from the championship tees. It is a member-friendly golf course with forgiving fairways and greens. There are seven different sets of tees to match any skill level. The North Fork of the Roanoke River meanders through the course, coming into play on several holes. The course also features almost 60 sand bunkers and several water holes to challenge you.

The swim season at Blacksburg Country Club begins Memorial Day Weekend with 80 degree heated water and the fun does not end until mid-September. The facility is open until 8:00 p.m. (and 9:00 p.m. on Fridays). The swimming pool is under continuous supervision of our aquatics and lifeguard staff.
