Women's Golf Association

The Women's Golf Association of Blacksburg Country Club is the most active association at BCC! Each season, the WGA hosts or participates in more than 70 events in the Roanoke Valley and the New River Valley.

The WGA Cup is based on the concept of the PGA FedEx Cup. The goal is to earn enough points throughout the season to qualify to play in the WGA Cup Finale. We will have a series of golf events during the season that allow WGA members to accumulate qualifying points towards their WGA Cup standing. At the end of the season, the top-12 golfers with the most qualifying points to play in a final eighteen-hole net tournament to determine the overall WGA Cup winner.

Qualifying points include:

  • 60% of your participation points from Tuesday and Thursday events; Ladies Blue Ridge and RVWGA events.
  • 100% of points earned from WGA Majors (One-Day Events, Club Championship, Summer Match Play Series, and the Club’s annual Member-Member Tournament).

These total qualifying points earned throughout the season determine a player’s seed for the WGA Cup Finale.
