Instruction

Our Class A PGA professional, and his staff, are available on site to take care of all your instruction needs. From an individual lesson to a group clinic, the BCC staff are prepared to help grow the game for members from age 3 and on.

Our junior golf program is a great way for children to get started. With more than 50 active junior golfers, our program is arguably the strongest in southwest Virginia. The Club is proud to offer clinics and camps that help junior golfers develop their skills on the golf course and a true appreciation for the game.

Speaking on the strength of the junior golf program at the Club, in the past ten years alone BCC has produced five golfers who have been ranked in the top 500 worldwide as junior golfers. Many junior golfers at Blacksburg Country Club compete on the local high school team, which has won multiple state championships, and is considered to be one of the strongest and most consistent programs year in and year out. 12 golfers have gone on to play collegiate golf with 11 of those playing at Division I institutions. Juniors in the BCC golf program have also played in some of the nation's most elite events, including the Women's US Amateur, the Women's US Open, the Southern Amateur, the Eastern Amateur, the Northern Amateur, the Virginia State Amateur, the Virginia State Open, the US Public Links Championship, the Junior World Golf Championships, the Monroe Invitational, as well as the top events in the Commonwealth of Virginia. These accomplishments all come because of the top quality instruction and year-round facilities available here at Blacksburg Country Club. The opportunities to play in leagues, associations, and statewide tournaments with the full support of a youth golf friendly membership is also a key reason why junior golf has flourished here and will continue to do so.

Clincs

Our goal is to provide a fun and educational learning environment, as well as boost confidence and create consistency in young golfers.  These clinics accommodate junior golfers of all levels:  junior players just discovering the game, high school players trying to move up on the team, and tournament level juniors looking to improve his/her competition results. Junior clinics are held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m.

New Indoor Golf Facility

In October 2024 we opened our greatly anticipated Indoor Golf facility. This xxxft building features 5 dedicated hitting bays with Trackman golf simulators, a large 20"x80" putting surface with 800 sq. ft undulating putting surface and chipping area. 

The facility also provides two, 75" tv's, perfect for catching up pn your favorite team while practicing.
